Babe and her Family

Dorothy Mae (also known as "Babe")

Dorothy Mae was born on March 4, 1925, to Leon and Jennie Miller...
their second child and only daughter. She was the youngest child on both sides of her family, and was given the nickname "Babe" because of this. Everyone who grew up with her called her "Babe", even when she was 74! :)
Dorothy had one brother, William (Bill), who was seven (I think!) years older than her. She also had many cousins, some of whom were as close to her as sisters...Flo, Sissie, and Bernice. Dorothy and her family lived in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, and she grew up in a very close and loving environment, with all her relatives just up or down the street from her.

Dorothy was always teased about having a temper that matched her red hair! :)
